Reading "The Mindsets"

Quick Write:  If there was anything I can change about myself as a student it would be nothing, I feel like I'm a good student I pay attention,  get the work done,  ask questions when I'm lost, voice my opinion in class, etc. In my opinion there's nothing for me to change.

Reading the first chapter of mindsets I see that you can excel past your limitations, its all in your mind that you can't complete or finish something. So putting what I learned with my quick write I believe there is always something I can work on for instance instead of just getting work done I can hand it in ahead of time that way I can receive feedback and make sure its completed to the best of my abilities.

Grit

Do I have grit? I think I have grit, more in some places than others, it honestly depends on what it is. For example I have more grit in graduating high school than I do in making friends. I think you can build grit by wanting something bad enough and you can lose it by finding something uninteresting. School can build grit by making students more aware of how much they need education to be somewhat successful in life. I am interested in having grit I think that's what gets me out of bed in the morning even on my most sleepy days.

Introduction... again

My name is Kianna its not spelled that way but I don't want people mispronouncing it... anyways I live in the Bronx like most of you guys its a nasty place to live but that's beside the point. In this course I hope to explore things about the mind I guess, to be honest I didn't know how to answer that question. Anyways my question is why are we learning about the human mind if we already learned about the human brain... aren't they the same thing?
